An alternative?

During last year's show of a Journalistic Integrity committee (actually the report was solid; the show was in the calling for various changes that were summarily dismissed as unfeasible or unrealistic -- ahem), some people called for college money to create an ALTERNATIVE newspaper. Why should there be only one student newspaper? Why not a second? It is clear that too many people are disgusted with The Recorder as it is, but when some asked for an alternative, they were told to go work with Rowan and Co. at The Recorder. Ummm, who can really work with him when he's a major source of hostility on this campus? Furthermore, at what point can we say enough is enough? Students have to get together and DEMAND his resignation. But perhaps students can also ask for 1/2 of the newspaper's budget and create an alternative.
